Tonight, GRAFFITI comes to artspace!

It's pretty apparent to anyone driving down Texas St. that something is different. Graffiti artists ELSE from L.A. and PUBERT from Phoenix have taken over the walls with their styles of graffiti in preparation for the exhibit tonight. Art Corp kids from Job Corp have helped them in creating new works of art to adorn the walls of artspace for this exhibit. Of course the cafe@artspace has stepped up to support this wonderful opening night with a full menu of urban eats inspired by The Urban Cookbook by King Adz. So come on down tonight to see the wonderful works of fine art...and fine food!

Happy Engagement Josh and Amy!!

it was a simple, elegant affair tonight at artspace as 50 of their closest friends came to toast their upcoming nuptials. as they will be marrying in south Louisiana, they could think of no better place to host a party for their north Louisiana friends and family. nestled against the gorgeous view of downtown in our coolspace gallery, they noshed on blackened steak with grilled asparagus. curried chicken salad, citrus smoked salmon, and crudite. great wines from purple winery complimented the array of sweet perfectly. the bride to be's favoriteswere the mini moon pies while her big sis was heard saying how much she loved the mini oatmeal cream sandwiches. artspace was the their destination for art, food, and fun! we wish them the very best!!

Freaky Friday Featuring Fine Fortissimo

For anyone who missed out on today's events, we have been busy here at artspace. Mayor Glover came today for a press conference regarding artspace. We fed the group here discussing the upcoming Great Depression exhibit (We enjoyed them all this week), however what I really want to share is the music space event tonight.

For a $5 cover, we have available Mr. Christopher (and friends) and Rene Caldwell playing some tunes for us. Of course we have drink specials as well. You can't turn down dollar longnecks for the beer drinkers, and for those in need of more substancial nourishment we will be concocting ham and cheese or turkey and swiss on sourdough sandwitches on our grills.
